We are the Eagles!
We are reception and Year 1 children in this class which we love because we all benefit from both learning through play and some more formal learning when it is appropriate. We get the best of both worlds! We have our own outdoor area which we call “The Red Area” which we have access to all day long and lots of our learning takes place out here – from number work, building, sand and water play, role play, small world, our mud kitchen and we also grow our own herbs which our parents are welcome to take home and enjoy!
Our teachers are Mrs Ledo and Mrs Guiness who are supported by Miss Haverson, Mrs Mahmood and Mrs Handy
Hi! I am the Eagles teacher., Mrs Ledo. I love teaching this age because I think learning through play is so important. When children are enjoying themselves, they are more engaged and learn more. I love active learning and being outside – in all weather! I am very excited to introduce our children to Forest Schools and watch them grow in confidence and become more independent learners. I believe that all children should be seen, heard and valued and hope that they love coming to be an Eagle every day
Our topic for Term 6 is Beachcombers
