Church
All Saint's Church
The parish church stands at the heart of the charming thatched village of Wroxton, close to the historic Abbey. This beautiful building dates back to the 14th century Decorated period, with the tower being redesigned and reconstructed during the 18th century.
Inside, visitors can admire a striking east window and an intricately carved chancel featuring depictions of Abraham and Isaac. The church houses a fine medieval font from the 14th century, along with remarkable continental wooden carvings that were donated by Colonel North of nearby Wroxton Abbey. The ring of bells underwent a complete restoration in 1997.
The church also contains notable monuments, including a carved tomb dedicated to Sir William Pope. Lord North, who served as Prime Minister of Great Britain during the era of American Independence, is buried here alongside many members of his family.
Love one another as I have loved you. John 13:34
